Making pancakes is a fun activity for people for children and adults. And Uulki has all the baking equipment you need to start this baking adventure in your kitchen. how to make american pancakesAre you looking for a simple recipe to make vegan american pancakes? Look no further! American pancakes are small and fluffy and taste amazing with maple or agave syrup and some (red) fruits as a topping! How to make american pancakes? Read further to get started!

Ingredients for 4 persons:
150 gr flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
250 ml plant-based milk (eg. almond or soy milk)
2 tbsp neutral oil (eg. sunflower, rapeseed or corn oil)
2 tbsp agave syrup (can be replaced by maple syrup or sugar )
1 tsp vanilla extract
fat to grease the pan with (eg. coconut oil)

Weigh all ingredients and take two bowls. In the first bowl add the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix these together. In the second bowl mix the milk, oil, agave syrup and vanilla extract together with a whisk.

Now add the wet ingredients to the bowl that contains the dry ingredients. Take your stirring spoon en mix everything until combined. Don’t worry about some little clumps!

Now take a well deserved 5 minute break, so the batter can rest for a while. Have a drink, dance to your favourite song, enjoy a piece of fruit in between! In the meantime you could also heat a pan with some fat over medium heat.

Pour some pancake batter in your preheated and greased pan. Depending on the size of your pan, you can bake 3 to 4 american pancakes simultaneously. When you see that they become sturdier and start bubbling,flip the pancakes with the Uulki wooden pancake spatula. Continue until your bowl with batter is empty. Don’t forget to scrape the batter scraps from your bowl with your Uulki rubber or silicone baking spatula!

Recipe for vegan pancakes from banana, blueberries and chickpeas

buckwheat pancakesHow to make pancakes with banana and chickpeas? It may sound a little different, but it’s not! Once you’ve tasted one of these banana pancakes with chickpeas, you’ll want more! So start baking these delicious banana pancakes now!

Ingredients for 4 persons:
80 gr oat flakes
80 gr whole wheat flour
1 banaan
65 gr bosbessen
100 gr kikkererwten
2 tbsp hemp seed
1 tsp baking powder
250 ml plant-based milk (almond or soy)
2 drops vanilla extract
1 bottle date syrup

Preparation of banana pancakes with chickpeas and blueberries:
baking spatula pancakesFirst of all you need to grind the oat flakes into flour with a blender. This only takes a couple of seconds.

After that, add all other ingredients to the oat flour and blend them together until smooth. Caution: don’t let the batter become too thin!

Heat a pan (anti stick pan, pancake pan, …) until hot. You don’t have to grease your pan.

Pour a small amount of batter into the hot pan and wait until you see some air bubbles on top. Now you can flip the pancake with the Uulki pancake spatula. Bake all vegan banana pancakes until golden brown on both sides. You can easily save the batter scraps by scraping the bowl with a baking spatula.

Pink vegan buckwheat pancakes recipe

pancake recipePink pancakes? Oh yes! These pancakes might be pink, but they’re completely natural. You can make these buckwheat pancakes in a sweet or savory variant. If desired, you can fill your buckwheat pancakes or serve them with a sweet or savory topping. A perfect dish for a lazy Sunday morning brunch!


Ingredients for 4 persons:
For the buckwheat pancakes:
120 gr buckwheat flour
25 gr chickpea flour
a big pinch of salt
180 ml beetroot juice (can be replaced by plant-based milk or water in case you don’t want pink pancakes)
180 ml water
1,5 tbsp plant-based oil
For the sweet variant:
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp vanilla
1 can coconut milk
1 lime
For the savory variant:
½ – 1 tsp cumin
a pinch of cayenne pepper
1 finely chopped spring onion or 1 tbsp sesame seeds
60 ml tahini
1,5 tsp dill

For the sweet version, mix the basic ingredients and the sweet ingredients together in a bowl with the Uulki stirring spoon. For the savory variant, you mix the basic ingredients together with the savory ingredients. Make sure the batter is smooth.

Take a pancake pan and let it heat up on the stove. If desired you can also grease the pan. Put some batter in the pan and flip the pancakes with the Uulki pancake spatula when you can see air bubbles on their surface. This takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Serve the buckwheat pancakes with the Uulki serving tongs and enjoy these delicious pink pancakes!
