Uulki cast iron seasoning oil maintains and builds the non stick patina
Uulki cast iron seasoning oil builds and protects the non stick patina of your cast iron pots and pans. The non stick patina of cast cookware becomes thinner after each use. Therefore, it’s necessary that you constantly maintain and restore the patina. By oiling your cast iron pan or pot after use, you maintain the non stick patina and let it grow in time. Uulki cast iron oil is a seasoning oil that we specifically developed for seasoning and maintenance of your cast iron cookware. To keep your cast iron cookware’s patina in condition and to prevent rust, you should apply the oil each time after cooking.
Seasoning your cast iron cookware against rust
Cast iron is a strong, but brittle metal alloy of iron and carbon. The material is physically sturdy, but also highly reactive. A water drop resting on a cast iron pan for a longer time, can cause a rusty spot. So, a second reason for seasoning your cast iron cookware, next to maintaining the non stick patina, is rust prevention.
Natural and plant-based, stabilised Uulki cast iron seasoning oil
Uulki cast iron oil is a stabilised plant-based oil. The oil has a long shelf life, of up to several years, and won’t go rancid.
Use for all types of cast iron cookware
You can use Uulki cast iron seasoning and maintenance oil for cast iron frying & grilling pans, pots, skillets, woks, grills, griddles, Dutch ovens & cast iron outdoor cookware, and so on.

We said it before: cast iron is a strong, but brittle metal alloy and strongly reacts with water. Cast iron should therefore never be left in water. Always hand wash your cast iron cookware. Do not clean it in the dishwasher, do not use a dishwashing product, and do not it soak in water. Always store cast iron pots and pans in a dry place. If you need to store cast iron cookware on top of each other due to a lack of space; place a paper towel in between pots and pans.
