Why would you cook with cherry wood cooking spoons?!
Cherry looks different! The wood has a warm, bright golden colour. The colour is enhanced when the wood is oiled. Therefore it’s also called a ‘noble’ wood. Cherry wood does not damage your cookware and when cared for well (hand wash only and oiling from time to time) it will stay as new for a very long time.
Sourced from sustainable forests in Europe
Uulki cherry wood kitchen utensils are eco-friendly and have a small ecological footprint. The wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests in Europe. Since the wood comes from Europe, transport kilometers (and thus transport related carbon emissions) are kept low. And most of all, wood is a renewable resource.
Uulki wood care for kitchen utensils
Wood is a natural and renewable product. Moreover, it’s very robust. To extend the durability even more, we advice you to regularly treat your wooden cooking spoons with Uulki oil for wooden cutting boards and kitchen utensils. Uulki wood oil is 100% natural, contains no mineral oil or petroleum byproducts, and is plant-based / vegan. If you prefer a wax, then you can treat your Uulki cooking spoons and other wooden utensils and chopping boards with Uulki wood wax & oil 2-in-1. The latter is also natural, vegan and free from petroleum byproducts.
This is how you best clean your wooden cooking spoons
Rinse your Uulki wooden cooking spoons with warm running water. Only if they’re very greasy, you can use a mild dishwashing liquid, preferably odourless. Let the spoons air-dry. Wood is a natural product; cracks may occur under extreme conditions. Because of this, never put wooden cooking utensils in the dishwasher or leave standing in the water for a long time.
