They are healthier, give you the sweetness you crave and have their own specific taste. Think about honey, agave syrup, maple syrup, corn syrup, treacle and so on. Do you dread having this sticky stuff all over your hands? Then use Uulki’s 15 cm long wooden honey spoon! With our honey drizzler your hands stay clean and it’s easier to dose your liquid sweetener!
This wooden honey spoon can do more than sweeten your tea
You can use Uulki’s honey spoon from beechwood to add honey to your tea, but it’s capable of more than that. The honey drizzler is also convenient to use when you want to drizzle maple syrup on your pancakes, make a salad dressing with honey, exchange sugar for a natural sweetener in cake, sweeten your yoghurt or smoothie with agave, maple or corn syrup, sweeten granola or muesli, and so on. Uulki’s wooden honey server definitely makes your life sweeter!
How to make crystalized honey liquid again with a honey agave drizzler?
Using this wooden honey drizzler is only possible when your honey is liquid. It can happen that your honey will become solid over time. But this is easy to fix! Put the jar of honey without the lid in a pot with warm water and let the honey warm up gradually. Another option is to heat the honey jar on top of the heater, but this will take a little longer than when you warm up the honey au-bain-marie. After some time, your honey will be liquid and you can use the Uulki honey drizzler again to your heart’s content!
This wooden honey spoon is hygienic and food safe
Honey drizzlers can be made from materials like plastic, metal and wood. We are a fan of wooden honey spoons because of several reasons. First of all wooden honey dippers are very hygienic. Wood naturally contains antibacterial properties which make sure that bacteria disappear within an hour. On top of that wooden honey scoops are also food safe, because wood is a natural product. All kitchen utensils can lose tiny bits while using it and end up in your food. If this would happen with a plastic honey dipper it also means that plastic bits will end up in your food or drink and that is not safe for the human body. With Uulki’s wooden honey server you can enjoy your sweetened tea safely!
How do you rinse the Uulki honey drizzler?
Although wood is very hygienic, it is of course still necessary to clean your wooden honey spoon after use. Firstly rinse the residual honey off the honey dipper with warm water and afterwards wash it with a sponge or brush. If desired, you could use some mild soap. After washing, let air dry and it will be ready to use again. But be warned! It’s better not to put the honey spoon into the dishwasher because this machine is too powerful for wooden kitchen utensils. The big amount of water the honey server would come into contact with could cause the wood to dehydrate and crack.
